Director’s Message

The creation of the Los Angeles County Health Agency by our Board of Supervisors brings together our three great Los Angeles County health departments — the Departments of Health Services, Mental Health and Public Health.

The promise of the Health Agency is that by being “together,” we can work together to streamline access and enhance customer experience for those who need services from more than one department or specialty area.

This new Health Agency website also showcases the great work done by our staff and the vast number of services we have available; it also directs people to the right clinical service whether that be a County-operated clinic or County-affiliated mental health or substance use service center.

I am very pleased that this new Health Agency website is one of many initiatives that will enhance the way we provide better health services.  My appreciation for everyone’s support, and I look forward to working with all of you to make the Los Angeles County Health Agency a success for County residents.

- Mitchell Katz, M.D.
